Piling Works for Kendari Nickel Bulk Cargo Berth

With abundant reserves of nickel, Indonesia is one of the world’s top nickel exporter and the government has been encouraging the development of downstream processing plants to move towards higher value-added manufacturing.

Of late, the development at the Konawe Industrial Estate is sprawling with many ferronickel smelter plants set up as well as jetty construction. For the second phase of the PT Virtue Dragon Nickel Industry (Parent Company – Jiangsu Delong Nickel) bulk cargo berth port, HSL is awarded the marine pile package for the No.4 Berth works. With a total of 557 No. of concrete spun piles in which the longest exceeds 70 m in single length, delicate lifting is paramount to ensure that the piles are hoisted without compromising its structural integrity.
