Long Son Petrochemical Complex

HSL’s first project in Vietnam for Long Son Petrochemical Complex, invested by leading ASEAN industrial conglomerate Siam Cement Group (SCG).

In June 2018, POSCO E&C announced their contract signing with Vietnam Long Son Petrochemical (LSP) for the construction of the wharf facility worth $680 mil to serve the Long Son Complex. HSL has been awarded the marine portion of the facility.

The USD 5.4 billion complex will consist of an olefins cracker, high density polyethylene (HDPE), linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) and polypropylene (PP) units, tank farm, central utility facilities, port and jetty.

The olefins production capacity of the completed complex is estimated to reach 1.6 mil tons per year.
