Cilacap Expansion 1 X 660 MW CFSPP — Phase 1
Cilacap, Indonesia
As part of the Indonesian government plan to develop 35,000 MW of power plant capacity within 5 years, the Cilacap Expansion project will be jointly developed by PT PLN and PT Sumber Segara Primadaya. Once completed, this environmentally friendlier power plant which uses the ultra-super critical boiler, will add another 660 MW into the grid.
Under the marine piling specialist package, HSL mobilized the 76 m leader piling barge to drive the 1000 mm dia steel pipe piles, both vertical and raker ones, and pile length ranges from 45 m to 65 m for the single length pile. The piling works was done off the coast of Cilacap, a regency on the south coast of Central Java, which often is known for the high tidal waves and harsh marine conditions. Overcoming all odds and challenges, the team successfully completed the piling works in early November 2016 with top-notch safety and quality standards, reinforcing the commitment towards embracing the HSL values of “No Harm to Others” and “Excellence”.
