People, Policy & Practice

Work-Life

  • On the occasion that their usual child care is not available, employees may drop their kids in the Play Room, enabling the peace of mind that comes with the knowledge that their children are safe and accounted for.
  • When working from home may prove to be workable and even beneficial, employees are given the go ahead under stipulated conditions and upon mutual agreement with their team.

Workplace Health

  • In line with our vision of a greater HSL, we consciously seek continuous improvement and this has granted us the Gold Singapore Health award (SHA) in 2014, from a silver in 2012.
  • In conducting a wide spectrum of physical and mental health activities such as yoga, health screenings, weight management, cognitive efficacy, stress management, marriage and parenting workshops and many others, we hope to communicate to our employees that we care for their well-being.

Fair Employment Practices

  • In HSL, we are driven by our values in everything we do. We believe in empowering individuals and giving them opportunities to demonstrate their abilities.
  • Our commitment to fair employment practices guides our actions. HSL prohibits against all forms of discrimination, and provides equal access and fair treatment to employees on the basis of merit.
  • This pledge sets out our beliefs on equal opportunity in all aspects of employment, including recruitment and promotion, and provides guidance and encouragement to employees at all levels to act fairly and prevent discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, marital status, disability, age, sexual orientation or religion.
