National Gallery Singapore
City Hall, Singapore
Standing almost a century old, the former City Hall and Supreme Court witnessed several key events in Singapore’s history, of which include their integration and transformation into the National Gallery Singapore. The new gallery houses the world’s largest display of modern Southeast Asian art. Extensive refurbishment and reinforcement works were undertaken to fit the gallery’s modern features. As a conservation and restoration project, HSL displayed the spirit of innovation as it worked within the restrictive parameters of the existing structure, helping ensure the longevity of this monumental building for generations to come.
